Baby's First Year

Infant, 4 to 9 months (pre-walking): Dawn of Intelligence

  • Physical: push up, tummy crawl, all-fours crawl, guided stand, reach and grab - tummy time, reach the __, support stand and bounce, grab bag
  • Nature: high vs. low, up vs. down, ground
  • Language: Sign Language, Demonstrates Understanding, Sounds - Baby Signs, Learning Game, Baby Babble
  • Emotional: Safe Boundaries - baby proofing 
  • Spiritual: Prayer - Say Grace, clasp hands
  • Potty Awareness

Newborn, up to 4 months: Thriving on Instincts

  • Physical: lift head, roll over, grab - tummy time
  • Nature: day vs. night - sleep training, window-outside time
  • Language: sound reflexes - Dunstan baby language
  • Emotional: trust and acceptance - EASY routine and needs met, a lot of loving physical contact
  • Health: breast feeding, limit exposure to people, grounding on you, sleep training
